Apa itu placard? Placard merupakan salah satu alat konferensi paling penting dalam Model United Nations (MUN). Pada umumnya, per delegasi dalam suatu komisi akan mendapatkan 1 placard (umumnya berbentuk kertas bertuliskan nama negara dalam Bahasa Inggris). Placard berguna sebagai alat identifikasi delegasi.

Tindakan dengan placard: delegasi mengangkat placard miliknya untuk menentukan pilihan, antara lain saat absensi (roll call), atau saat proses voting (yes/no/abstain).

Perlakuan terhadap placard: placard harus diperlakukan dengan baik selama MUN, tidak dicoret-coret atau dirusak. Rusak/hilangnya placard bisa berakibat dilarang ikut dalam sesi konferensi.

What are placards? Placard is one of the most important thing in Model United Nations conferences. One delegation at a certain committee will usually get one placard, commonly in the form of a card, printed with the name of the country in English. It is useful as identification tool.

Delegates usually raise their placards for a roll call and to cast their vote during voting (yes/no/abstain).

 

Placard should be handled with care. Do not write anything/give any marks on your placard. Losing/damaging your placard may cost you your participation in the session.
